State Police Training Facility Update

Posted on 1/28/19

Governor Lamont announced at a press conference last week that Griswold is no longer the location that is being considered for the proposed State Police training facility.

A huge THANK YOU to all of the residents of Voluntown and Griswold who helped us fight against this location, which is right on the Voluntown border. Thank you also to Senator Somers and Congressman Courtney who were both loud voices for us in Hartford. Thank you to Governor Lamont for sticking to the statements he made while he was campaigning.

Tracey Hanson
First Selectman
