Town of Voluntown Seeking Part Time Tax Collector

The Town of Voluntown is seeking Part Time Tax Collector. This is an appointed 15-17 hour per week, non-union position with no benefits. Tuesday evening hours are required from 6-8PM. Salary is commensurate with experience. Qualified candidates should have the skills and knowledge generally acquired with an Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a closely related financial field and two years of increasingly responsible experience in collection, accounting, bookkeeping, or related financial work. Quality Data experience a plus.  Certification as a Connecticut Municipal Tax Collector desirable. As a condition of employment, the Tax Collector must be able to obtain and remain bonded.
