State to Conduct Noise Testing on Lee Road in Griswold

Related to Proposed State Police Training Facility

As part of the Environmental Impact Evaluation (EIE) for the proposed Connecticut State Police Training Facility Project, the Connecticut State Police will be conducting a live gun fire exercise at the proposed site which is located at 100 and 101 Lee Road in Griswold, CT.

This exercise will occur between the hours of approximately 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM on Wednesday, June 13, 2018.  In case of inclement weather, the exercise will take place during these same hours on the following day.

The purpose of the gun fire is to provide baseline information for the noise study that will be included in the EIE for this project.   State Police troopers will be on-site and in the surrounding area to help facilitate this effort and we respectfully request that people avoid this area during these times for their own safety and to ensure the integrity of this data collection effort.
