Public Health Announcement: Positive West Nile Virus Mosquito Trapped at Mount Misery

The Selectmen’s Office has been notified by UNCAS Health that a mosquito trapped at the Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station testing site located in the Mount Misery area of Voluntown has tested positive for the West Nile Virus.

Residents spending time outdoors, and those visiting the Mount Misery area of Pachaug State Forest are encouraged to wear bug repellent and protective clothing.
