Changes on Interior Inspections for Property Revaluation: Keep Eye Out for Mailer

Dear Voluntown Property Owner(s):

The Town of Voluntown is in the process of revaluing all Real Estate in the Town. This revaluation will be effective for the Grand List date of October 1, 2020 (and thus, for taxes payable in July 2021). The Town of Voluntown has contracted with eQuality Valuation Services, LLC, a Certified Revaluation Company, to assist the Assessor in completing the 2020 Revaluation.

Due to Governor Lamont’s Executive Order No. 7S, interior property inspections that have not yet been done yet for property revaluation, will be done by questionnaire.

A mailer will be going out to residents containing this questionnaire, and our Assessor is encouraging owners to fill out the form and it mail back to us to ensure that the information that we have on the town record cards are accurate prior to the new assessments getting finalized for the revaluation.
