Voluntown Youth Service Bureau Dodgeball Tournament

Come join us for a healthy, fun-filled day and help support the Voluntown Youth Service Bureau

Due to the weather on March 2, the Dodgeball Tournament has been moved to March 23.

League A:  Students in grades 5 – 8               9:00am
League B: High School students and adults     9:45am

Teams consist of 6 players
Registration fee: $10 per player ($60 per team) Please make checks payable to: Town of Voluntown
Teams must register by Friday, March 20, 2019.     NO LATE REGISTRATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED

Teams must submit a TEAM Registration form (provide their team name, team captain/contact information, and team members).

Individual players must each submit a PLAYER Registration Form.

***Team Captain must be 18 years or older***

Please make sure all players have read the Voluntown Youth Service Bureau Dodgeball Tournament Rules.

Teams can turn in registrations/money to the VES front office, 195 Main Street ~ Voluntown, CT ~ 06384.

ADULT RECREATION VOLLEYBALL

Adult Recreation Volleyball is sponsored by the Voluntown Recreation Commission

When: Thursdays March 7, 14, 21, 28, April 4, 11, 25, May 2, 2019 at 6:00-7:30
Where: Voluntown Elementary School Gymnasium
Who: This adult recreation volleyball is for Voluntown residents 18 years and older. This is for fun, so don’t be worried if you don’t know how to play. Registration forms available when arrive. Can come any week or all weeks.
Fee: NONE

 

Voluntown Youth Service Bureau High School Recreation Basketball

For Voluntown students only in grades 9-12.
Wednesday evenings, 6:00-7:30, Last day March 27th.

 

Beginning in February, Rep. Lanoue will be hosting weekly district office hours every Monday from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. at Slater Library in Jewett City. He will be hosting additional office hours at Sterling Town Hall on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month, also beginning in February, from 10 a.m. – noon. This is an open door policy and will be on a first come, first serve basis. All comments and suggestions welcome. Constituents only!

The Voluntown Public Library

1st and 3rd Tuesday @ 6:15 p.m.- Knitters, Crocheters, needlecrafters of all types – bring your project and join other crafters at this informal gathering for conversation and sharing. Don’t know how to knit or crochet but want to learn? The library has yarn, needles and patient instructors. Open to everyone, so stop by and join in the fun.

4th Tuesday @ 7:15 p.m. – Writers – Are you an aspiring author, or just enjoy writing? Whether it’s memoir, fantasy, poetry or any other genre, come share your writing in a non-judgmental, supportive and friendly gathering.

2nd Thursday @ 6:30 – Library Board of Trustees. Do you have questions, concerns, or comments regarding about your library? Do you have a program you would like to share with other Voluntown residents? Come to any meeting and let us know!
